Course Overview:
Systems Requirements Management
and Verification for Aerospace

This course, built on the principles of ARP4754B Guidelines for Development of Civil Aircraft and Systems, gives students both the knowledge and hands-on practice needed to build a strong foundation in systems engineering for the development lifecycle.

Through lectures, interactive workshops, and real-world case studies, you’ll explore the core principles of systems engineering and learn how to apply processes to actual aerospace development challenges.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:

  • Grasp the fundamentals of systems engineering.

  • Capture, validate, and manage requirements, including traced and derived requirements.

  • Understand the difference between verification and validation, and why both are important.

  • Recognize the role of correctness, completeness, and assumption management in requirement validation.

  • Practice creating requirements and test cases through dedicated workshops.

  • Visualize how ARP4754B ties into related standards ARP4761A and DO-326.

  • Relate all learnings to the ARP4754B integral processes, including development planning, configuration management, process assurance, and implementation verification.

Why sign up for this course? Because it not only explains systems engineering in theory, it teaches you to apply it in practice. You’ll walk away with:

  • A strong practical foundation in requirements concepts and testing aspects of systems engineering.

  • The ability to apply the ARP4754B integral processes to your work.

  • Skills that provide a basis to help ensure compliance, safety, and efficiency in civil aircraft system development.
